MY BFF Ellie Moore (NOT) of Weddingbee & Lucky Nest

In my previous post I mentioned the web-site Weddingbee. I get a lot of inspiration from brides pre and post wedding day on that site and I would like to share one bride in particular, her name is Ellie Moore...

I came across Ellie's posts aka Mrs. Lovebug on Weddingbee by chance. But I intentionally kept coming back for more and more on a regular basis. Her snarky sense of humor and wit is so fresh, fun and addicting. And I looked forward to her big day. And when it came and I awaited her post on how it went, once again she did not disappoint, as a matter of fact she surprised and amazed me... I expected the post and pictures to be romantic, picturesque and inspirational - try hilarious, hysterical and flat out outrageous. That was it for me, I would follow her wherever that would lead (can you say stalker), which turned out to be two spots, her personal blog, The Lucky Nest and my worst nightmare Facebook. Well I took a deep breath and asked to be "friended" by her on Facebook and she accepted (WOOOHOOO! I swear we are bff's now). And by chance I got lucky enough to experience those pictures I mentioned earlier the romantic, picturesque and inspirational ones. And I would like to share one in particular with you.

Her wedding bouquet is like no other I have ever seen. It is gorgeous, unique and romantic. The wrap reminds me of a corset. Take a look at it above and read our first bff conversation (can you say loser). Hope it inspires you...

Hi Ellie, I have been a fan of your writing since Wedding Bee and followed you here... I am a destination wedding planner on the island of Puerto Rico and I am always looking for inspiration for my blog posts. Can you tell me a little about the bouquet and the "love corset"? It is absolutely gorgeous! Also, may I post this picture on my blog... www.prweddingplanner.blogspot.com along with the post?

Wishing you and your husband a lifetime of love, joy, peace & laughter!
Felicidades, Lisa Rodriguez

Hey Lisa, thanks for the note! You're more than welcome to post the photo, provided you credit/link Chris Richards. Thank you for asking. =)

My bouquet was a mixture of peonies, hydrangeas, and roses, and the handle I designed using ribbon and vintage typewriter keys (from Etsy). I just criss-crossed the ribbon and glued the keys to the points where it crossed (or rather my florist did).

Really, it was very simple. One thing to consider - the handle looks wrinkled like it does since the hydrangeas needed to be in water till the last possible second. For a smoother looking bouquet handle, I'd skip that flower. =)

Hope this helps!

Thanks Ellie, for the chuckles, inspiration and flat out good feelings I get when I read anything you write!

Sincerely,
I wish I would have been your wedding planner,
Lisa
